      There are many reasons why you should choose Bikram Yoga as your special Yoga style. The advantages of Bikram Yoga can totally change your life! It’s amazing how Yoga can trigger your life and manifest change in your perspectives.

      Bikram Yoga is widely known as “hot yoga”. It has also been called the 'Bikram Method Yoga'. This type of yoga aims to build your mental and physical strength. Improvement of your flexibility and balance are also important goals of Bikram Yoga.

      Bikram yoga has roots in Hatha yoga which was designed to heal the mind and the body.

      Bikram Choudhury was the founder of Bikram Yoga. As a yoga practitioner, he developed Bikram Yoga after he was infured in a weightlifting accident. While practicing some yoga exercises, he discovered some healing benefits that he was determined to pass along. Many people now practice this yoga style today, having found proven benefits for their particular needs.

       

       

       

       

      Bikram Yoga is often chosen for healing purposes and physical therapy. This type of Yoga has proven helpful in bringing holistic benefits to those who believe and practice it.

      One patient, who suffered from a knee injury, decided to practice Bikram Yoga, and just six weeks after continuous practice, reported that his knees started to feel better. Some difficulties and pains that he suffered were all disappearing.

      Bikram Yoga requires your devoted practice to be successful with the healing process.

      Though there are critics and naysayers to the benefits of this style of yoga, Bikram Choudhury developed Bikram Yoga with the help of some scientists from the University of Tokyo University Hospital. Together, they proved that Bikram Yoga has medical benefits, including the repair of tissues and help in curing chronic ailments.

      The findings and benefits were presented at the International Medical Conference in 1972. It was reported that Bikram Yoga has the ability to affect the body internally.

      The poses and pressure of this yoga discipline are reported to replenish the cells and flush toxins in our body. It also oxygenates the blood throughout the body, helping to keep it clean and healthy.

      While Bikram was researching at Tokyo University, he discovered that the healing process takes place when all the body systems are functioning well, conditioned and strengthened. If the body is weak, applying the practice and healing method will be difficult to obtain.

      Bikram developed twenty-six posture exercises, which are to be practiced daily. In doing so, treatment in the body can be easily obtained. Some poses are combinations of western and eastern Yoga disciplines, which focus on the stretching of the muscles, tendons, organs, nerves, glands and ligaments. Each different posture is specifically targeted to treat the body effectively.

      Bikram Yoga can be practiced by anyone of any age. This yoga style works with a tourniquet effect, which includes balancing, stretching and creating pressure, all done at the same time to manifest a good blood flow to all the parts of the body.

      Thanks to Bikram Choudhury, we can now have solutions to some of our medical problems. Always remember that dedicated daily practice of Bikram Yoga exercises is the main ingredient to achieving one's healing goals and to staying healthy.
